Not really keen on the guitar on this one;  it just gets annoying with it's whining and no actual solo.  On the other hand there is a nice melody to it.

Even Guy has said this song has nothing to go with Ben Knopfler's band, "the rocket dolls", that heavy guitar at the beginning, that badass band reference, that they are a band of the south (Ben band is based in the south of the UK, Brighton) still suggest to me that Mk is kind of joking with his son's band.

Yes, I know the lyrics says it's a band if the US and from Oklahoma, but that's the fictional part  :lol

This is soooooo good and should of been on the original album but then all 6 bonus tracks are superb too!!!

The drums are also very "up front" in the mix. A subtle hint?

No surprise considering Spanish is spoken in Central American countries.

It would be great to end the shows with Oklahoma Ponies and have a good old ceilidh in front of the stage!  I'm sure the entire audience would be on their feet!    ;D
