planning on sending a copy to mark Jbaent?

No, it doesn´t makes sense, it's a book that "walks" throught his songs using the real places, he would think we are nuts  ;D

We are.

jbaent you have to send him one. We are certifiable nuts and he already knows of our existence! He makes his living out of it!   Well not exactly his bread and butter but still... It is just a sign of respect and maybe a confirmation of his belief.   :lol
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

But I'd approach Mark with it if I were you. Maybe he could even sign it. I think The Man should know fans do such things about his music.

I mean — it's not that happens every day.

Your apreciation is really all I need, it's written from my admiration of the man and his music, of course, but it's made for all of you, the fans, that shared with me, that shared with other fellow fans, or that will share, all that routes in the book, it's more about us, the fans... I don't know if you get what I mean.
You might get lucky, now and then

Having now seen the full-size hardback edition, I can say that it is handsome edition, which would grace any shelf.

Again what a fantastic book, I have had chance to sit down and 'lose' myself in this fabulous book.. - A must for any DS/MK fan....
Great photo's and wonderfully researched writing too....
(dmg I Really love the Edinburgh section - Well done)

Of course personally my favourite part is the New Forest section, purely because as you all know I live very close indeed to the 'important' places mentioned in the book!!! Banjo99uk - Love the photo's!!
(The Train times to/from 'Beaulieu Road' need a bit more clarification - and I am more than happy to advise on this - being that, that is my job if neccesary!!)

You have just got to send a copy to 'MK' and I reckon even Guy would be interested too....
* Mark Knopfler - NOT just a hobby, but a way of life!

* Owner of Two Fender 'Mark Knopfler' Signature Series Stratocaster's (SE00616 & SE03805) both with signed Fender labels after meeting MK at Bridport, Dorset UK on the 27/09/2013!

Thank-you for your compliments!

The point about sending one to Guy is interesting.  The have a day off before the Glasgow show this year (again) and perhaps the gang could take a little trip across!

Actually if any of you do or did in the past anybody the routes and have information or pictures to provide, it would be great for a future second edition.

I'm not sure if it is a good idea to send the book to MK, just because he might feel a bit thronged, if it contains too much about his private life. I haven't read it yet, and I'm sure it is a beautifully crafted work, but since I read that there is a part about the New Forest area I do fear that he considers that as obtrusive.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to reading the book and I don't want to spoil the fun, these are just my two pennies.
And she's sitting in her Lusso, in the early morning sun.

There is nothing about Mk house in London, New Forest, his studio etc, I've been very carefully about his privacy. The only reference I made is that MK and John are neighbours in the area but not any clue to exactly where.

The only exact reference is to John Illsley pub in the New Forest because it's a small and convenient hotel to spend the visit at that area.
