Pavel, can't remember if you recorded a video of Scafolder wife, which is one of my favorite songs of MK. Did you? I checked your channel but didn't find it.

No, unfortunately, but I sure love the song! I covered 5 songs from Kill To Get Crimson record and plan to do more. The least covered album is still Privateering with just two songs and I covered 79 in total.

I think that Scaffolder's wife has some very nice rythmic guitars on it, and a lovely bass line to make that song sounds great. The vibraphone and the fulte adds something extra special and I think this song really shows how great are MK and Guy working arrangements.
You might get lucky, now and then

One of the many reasons why I think it was a shame that KTGC went so early in the vote.

"Go, Love" becomes the 80th song in MKSB. And the songs keep going! "Go, Love" is an amazing song to strum away, to solo over, to sing, to learn, enjoyable from every conceivable angle. I think you'd be surprised to know how simple this song is. Hopefully, I explained it as elegant as the song was written, but if not, I'll take it. Pavel.

So, I made it to 80 songs! That's insane if you ask me. That's kinda serious. Go ahead, name another artist to make 80 videos about his songs, so that each song would bring something new and still be fresh and interesting and there are still dozens and dozens of songs left? Mark Knopfler's songwriting will never stop surprising and inspiring me. With this combination of strong songs, finely crafted arrangements and interesting lyrics, I've never seen the whole package being delivered like that. Pavel.

Hey, jbaent! Here's "The Scaffolder's Wife" for you! :lol

This might be one of my best videos yet, I’m so happy with the way I made it. The song in question is “The Scaffolder’s Wife”. A request which I’m more than happy to oblige. It started from me being absolutely not knowing where to begin, not knowing what to play, to some of the most inspiring “a-ha” moments to date. This may be a simple and forgotten song, but it gave me a lot. I hope you’ll learn something new just like I did, again. Pavel.

Thanks Quizzy, thank you very much.

I always loved this song, probably from the very first time, the chords Knopfler plays in this song always sounded to me like something unusual, and very moving. I also think the arrangements are so special, with those bass lines, the vibraphone, the flute... everything is crafted in such a delicate way.

You nailed, as usual!

Thank you! Yeah, and nobody cares about that song as usual :lol

I mean it has a few 100,000 streams on Spotify (not a lot for big artists), 2 covers on YouTube and a couple of 15-year old discussions here and on MKNews forum. Which is definitely a shame.

I like the song a lot, Mark's vocals are quite gentle and soothing.
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

Yeah, thank you! I hope it helps. Of course, I can't live off these donations, but they certainly can give me a few precious weeks of life.

I'm back, thanks for your support! It's the song "Wag The Dog" from the movie of the same name. You can probably guess the reason I chose this song, and it's not a pretty one. But the song is great, it's the blues at its best. Extremely fun to play along with the recording and to train the left-hand thumb. I'll try my best to cover more music from this movie, so stay tuned. Pavel.
