I was said long ago by a long time Pink Floyd fan that a Waters concert was more PF than any Gilmour concert, and after see the two of them, I personally agree.

Gilmour is a fantastic guitarist and singer, but it looks like someone singing PF songs than PF himself. In the other hand, Waters looks like if the spirit of PF has possessed him.

I have to admit that I like more the Waters period of PF, the one of Dark side, Wish you and Animals, specially Animals.

I agree and Gilmour's approach reminds me very much of Mark's regarding performing their old bands' songs. And I mean it in a good way.

JF, to be on the sides was to really enjoy the Battersea power station. I was in the center and I didn't see it well.

Actually I was just in the middle of the pyramid!

yes you are right, that's what I tought yesterday : those who were "under" the Battersea power station were not really at the best place, but it was fine for me : not really on the side, but on really in the center too

I never had the chance to see Gilmour live, but after seeing his gigs on DVD I agree
Animals is my fav Floyd album, and as we said with Herlock, I think the fact is : floyd was at his best with Gilmour and Waters "together", even when they disagreed on some points
And yes the seventies is the "Waters era" but it would'nt had been what it is without Gilmour, and to a lesser extent without Wright

When I listen to Gilmour I have the sound, the voice, the orchestration, the ambiance, etc.. but it lacks the soul, the spirit, the genius
Yesterday I had this, but I missed Gilmour's sound and touch (both on guitar an vocal) to magnify Waters compositions

I honestly hate it when musicians talk politics. Of course they have every right to express their opinions in interviews and lyrics but I don't attend concerts to hear them bitch about politicians, different political views and so on,

well, you would have dislike Monterey, Woodstock, Wight, etc then... ;) :D

My friends and I always called Waters "the reverend", and as far as we can, we don't miss any of his mass.

By the way, Kilminster's guitar is a Shur custom model

Tele body shape, but strat PU configuration (with double coil on the bridge) and tremolo arm
the body is gorgeous

Yes, but to be honest i liked the Gilmour concert more. Gilmour is the guitar and voice, and i missed that last night. The Waters show (lasers, screens and a flying pig) was amazing btw.

I think I heard anywhere that RW was recording and filming the Amsterdam shows to release a dvd and cd of this tour...
