As great as Mark is / DS were, Pink Floyd / DG / RW are bigger. Much bigger market for a Pink Floyd box. At least so I think.

From potential sales point of view yes but "Dire Straits" brand remains quite big to allow releasing some archive series.

A "Wembley Arena July 10" release celebrating the BIA tour would be a good opportunity to cash on.

surely, but if they can sell an MK 100 euro box for each new album which basically includes almost nothing interesting
they can sell a DS box easily,  just need to price it lower than the Pink Floyd ones, like 150-200 vs 400-450

There are various versions you can buy, most with clothing!! there is a highlight CD priced at 11:99 GBP with some unreleased stuff and remixed tracks etc. I expect the boxed set to be released in smaller versions like The Early Years was.
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

Box price has fallen pretty much to 'only' 334 euros, initially it was 550 and few weeks ago 450

To make you think "finally it is affordable" 330 euros basically for 4 concerts and 2 studio album on multiple support  :think

Exactly...

It's true that there are some dvds and blurays but if you sum the price of them individually with the price of the cds individually...

Same goes with MK boxes which end being expensive too, if you sum individually what the box has...

If Knopfler box set cost this much never mind multiple support,  I'd be on life support!

Just listened to High Hopes (Early Version 1994 recording)
very interesting,
final solo with electric guitar not the usual slide,
different middle solo with classic guitar,
different words of the lyrics,
different way of singing some parts, very dismal
