I think John and Mike stay in the touring band. They must play Marbletown, remember?

I hope he skips that one, good song but heard it too many times

I think Danny is back to play percussion, like on the new album. I would not be so sure about Mike and John leaving, there also flutes and pipes on the new album and lots on previous albums.....
Guy confirmed he will be in the touring band

Great to hear that Danny is back. Maybe they’ll do calling Elvis again, the OES version...

The problem with the folkies is that they should have not stayed more than four the 2006 and 2008 tours.

I hope for a stripped back to 2005 band format with 3 backing singers and listen to what they deliver...

You can't have 3 backing singers for just a couple of songs, for that you have to reinvent the whole set and arrangements.

Now... Do you really believe in that? :lol :lol :lol

Hope is not believing but that is a start.

Regarding the backing singer, the band is already doing backing so not a revolution but an evolution.

The 2006 tour didn't have Mike and John in the band - it was Stuart Duncan.   In 2008 it was only John - Mike joined him in 2010.

I would love to have Robbie in the band as well. Preferably in addition to Richard. (Incl. Nigel and Danny, without the folkies)
What a band that would be! Would really make it possible to shake the setlist up!

I don't make it a question of person but a matter of style.

IMHO 2010 would have been better without folkies and was really the start of the Mark Knopfler's Comfort Zone Touring Band.
