I just received my box today and I'm a little bit disappointed because for any unknown reason, it comes without the bonus track cd!!!!!!

 :lol :lol :lol

I received mine this morning
wonder why all CD are black (different from 96 remasters) and only BIA has the national guitar colors
they could have done each CD fiting with the album cover

But wasn't BIA the only LP featuring a dedicated label ?
And doing multicolor is more expensive than a monochrome.

yes but at least they could have done the same labels as remasters from 96 : the label color is the same as the sleeve
but maybe you are right, they wanted to reproduce the LP apparence...

Everyone will like this one.
Rhino are releasing/have just released (via their "Start Your Ear Off Right" campaign)limited vinyl editions of all the studio Dire Straits albums.Of course there are no extra tracks.
All are single 180g discs except BIA and OES which are double discs.Prices are between£20-£30.
In the past, releases from this campaign have led to deluxe versions of albums that same year so we are obviously in for a real treat at some point in 2021 :o
Having said that I have been told by my local record store that a deluxe version of BIA is coming this year. What with the documentary and the books this year must be a great time to finally release some deluxe items.
Obviously Mark has spent many hours of lockdown being interviewed for the deluxe versions so plenty of enlightenment will soon be ours  :thumbsup

I don’t really understand how these are any different to the existing 180g editions you can buy in any record shop?

Just read the news BIA and LH will be released on vinyl half speed. :o Awesome! Another vinyl release, again... I think we have 293746120837 vinyl versions of BIA right now. When do we expect the MK solo albums to be remastered and released on vinyl? :think

Yet another amazing reissue!

A must not have

 :smack

Altough it seems quite fair that they release something on half speed. That is something that PCM and MK's marketing people actually can relate to.

Cant quite believe yet another remaster is coming out. It's kind of crazy.  I can think of 4 remastered versions of BIA on vinyl from recent years

I wont hold my breath for a deluxe version of BIA, although would be great

Here's another thought. Is remastered better? I would suggest you check out this little page here: http://dr.loudness-war.info

It will show you that the dynamic range of remastered albums is generally lower than of the originals. This happens because of people's listening habits. The best Dire Straits albums to buy are the originals from the 80s. BiA is brilliantly mastered in the original, HUGE dynamic range. You cannot top that!

Technical stuff

https://www.superdeluxeedition.com/interview/dire-straits-and-mark-knopfler-half-speed-mastering-details-revealed/

I was thinking to the buyers of the high priced MoFi release that will have to get another copy of BIA LPs again...
